The best Korean movie of 2023 is 'Noryang - Sea of Death'

Currently, the movie that is gaining huge popularity in Korea is Noryang-Sea of Death.

The Battle of Noryang was a great naval battle that took place on the night of Dec. 16, 1598.

Because this was the biggest naval battle in the history of the world until then.

 

The movie "Noryang" depicts the final fierce battle between a combined fleet of Joseon (Korea) and Ming (China) led by Admiral Yi Sun-shin against a large Japanese fleet in the waters of Noryang, south of Korea.

 

This was the last battle that Japan invaded Joseon in seven years.
