S. Korea Advances to AFC Asian Cup's Quarterfinals

 

 

South Korea advanced to the quarterfinals at the AFC Asian Cup after beating Kuwait 1-0 on Tuesday.

  

 

 Team Korea, led by coach, Uli Stielike, won the match held in Canberra, Australia after Nam Tae-hee scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute.

  

 Tuesday’s victory marked the team’s second win in Group A.

  

 Also on Tuesday Australia outscored Oman 4-0. South Korea will face off against Australia in Brisbane on Saturday for the number one spot in Group A.
