Korea Advances to Round of 16 in U-17 World Cup

  

Korea has advanced to the round of 16 in the U-17 World Cup by defeating Guinea 1-0 in Chile on Tuesday. 

 

   

Korea has a total of six points from two straight wins and is guaranteed a spot in the round of 16 regardless of the outcome of its last group stage match against England. Korea beat Brazil 1-0 last Saturday.

 

  

South Korea, coached by 2002 World Cup semifinalist Choi Jin-cheul, is a top Group B with six points, following their opening 1-0 defeat of Brazil.
